the ‘why’

Hi, I’m Charlotte, the artist behind looppylooo.

Deep down I have wanted to be an artist my whole life. Simmering underneath the surface of my subconsciousness but not quite being able to grasp at it. Over the past few years I have been working on overcoming those barriers and fulfilling my dream of making art full time.

I know now, that art is one of the most important things we have. It is the most fundamental part of being human and not pursuing it would be against everything I feel I have been put on this earth to do.

I hope to inspire anyone and everyone to work their creative muscles, and I truly believe that if we create more than we consume, this world will be a much better place.

my work

I began making pottery in 2022 and my passion for working with clay has grown ever since.

I enrolled in multiple courses to work on my skills over a 2 year period. When I moved to Sydney, I got a membership at a studio. After quitting my jobs in hospitality I ended up working and teaching pottery at three different studios in Australia.

After returning back to the UK, desperate not to fall back into hospitality work, I knew this was the time to take the plunge and start my own business.

I have been making art since I was little and have always had a passion for creating. As my creative practice has evolved I have moved into more abstract paintings which convey more of a feeling to me. I also love to make work that centres around the human experience that’s mainly inspired by expressionism.

I love the idea of bringing everyday, functional vessels and unique artwork together. Making small, everyday moments something to cherish.
